It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's difficult for their batsmen to possess a record if never given the chance.

Finally, the result of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the teenage relative of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her nation failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 World Cup win came three months after her first appearance and seven international trophies have followed from 10 efforts across formats.

The gritty keeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India momentarily interrupted the successful run.

That loss "pushed us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was declared player of the series. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

If this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort is debatable.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was far harder to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in the nets, it was a frustrating experience because I feel like my form was missing whatsoever," said Healy.

"Yet the moment you take the field, your competitive nature take over and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has always been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the bowler's initial ball and from there the batsman was on her way.

"The possibility to take the field and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

Once she was removed her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm pleased we have the belief to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we are confident we can succeed."

These statements will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this triumph following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wished she had played despite the injury.

But while she later admitted those fitness problems have delayed thoughts of retirement, this championship is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as captain.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
